50-Year
& 25-Year Awards
Fifty years of service to Masonry is a
milestone that merits a visit to the lodge of a Past Grand Master to
present the award, and Past Grand Master C. E. "Buster" Horne answered
the call.

First order of business was a presentation
to the brethren of a portrait of the Masonic Children's Home in Macon,
Georgia. The special portrait commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the
home. Hampton Lodge received the print in appreciation for their
charitable donations to the home. Pictured above are Bros. Leonard
Gordon, Master; Buster Horne, Past Grand Master; and Neil Maddock, 6th
District Deputy to the Grand Master.

Bro. Horne describes the beautiful 50-Year
Aprons he is about to present to Bros. Curtis Mobley and Idus Wilkerson.

Bro. Wilkerson is delighted with his
certificate while Bro. Mobley looks admiringly at the apron Bro. Horne
is putting on him.

The 50-Year Pin is much envied by all the
brethren. Obviously, it is awarded to only a few dedicated individuals.
Bro Horne describes it before presenting it to the two deserving
brothers.

"Careful, honey!" Bro. Wilkerson's wife
Jeanette pins his 50-Year Award pin on him.

Bro. Horne gave each of the 50-Year Award
recipients one of his coins struck during his year as Grand Master to
remind them of his role in the presentation. He requested that he be
invited to come back and present them with their 75-Year Awards.
Bro. Bill Glass is presented his 25-Year
Pin and Certificate while his wife Daisy looks on. Bro. Larry Griggers
presented the award on behalf of the brothers of Hampton Lodge # 70.
